About this Book
In the biting, forbidding winds of Communist Russia, one man staunchly refused to submit. Not through terrible imprisonment, and not under the threat of mortal peril. In this stirring autobiography, Rav Yitzchak Zilber legendary leader of Russian Jewry in Israel for the past three decades tells his personal life story intertwined with the general story of Russian Jewry behind the Iron Curtain. In an era when our People faced formidable tests to remain Torah-observant Jews, Rav Yitzchak courageously stood up for his beliefs and encouraged hundreds of others to do the same both in the Soviet Union, and later on, with his kiruv work in Eretz Yisrael and the Diaspora. Translated from the original Russian and Hebrew editions, this story will continue to inspire thousands and show what it truly means To Remain a Jew!
